The Brief

Since 1999, the Ultra Music Festival has brought joy and excitement to fans of electronic music around the world. Ultra Singapore has been part of the Ultra Worldwide family of festivals since 2015, with the festival having grown larger and more electrifying with each passing year. The festival has welcomed globally-renowned DJs like Alesso, Axwell, Deadmau5, Hardwell, Knife Party, Kygo, Marshmello, Pendulum, Steve Aoki and Tiësto and many more.

This year’s two-day Ultra Singapore held in mid-June saw 42,000 people flock to a specially-constructed 60,000 sq. m. Ultra Park on Bayfront Avenue.

Creative and Execution

Pico has been involved in the festival since the inaugural edition. This year, we took on more organizer and show production roles as well as fulfilling our design, fabrication and event management responsibilities.
Pico also ensured that the festival forged strong relationships with long-term sponsors like Dom Pérignon, Johnnie Walker, Red Bull and the Marina Bay Sands, providing a common interactive ground between the sponsors and the audience and ensuring optimal brand engagement during the event.
The team helped curate the event experience and increase sponsor engagement with festivalgoers. With more fun-filled activities this year, festivalgoers found more reasons to arrive at the festival earlier – to take part in amazing photo taking opportunities and games.

New elements for this year included the Asian debut of the festival’s Worldwide Stage, which featured upcoming regional DJs, as well as a huge roof structure with LED displays and even more stunning audio and lighting.

With three distinctly-designed stages, a line-up of 42 performers and engaging activities provided by the event sponsors, this year’s festival was a large-scale outdoor party that attracted music lovers, partygoers and a wide audience of engaged people. The stages played host to a myriad of critically acclaimed DJs such as Above & Beyond, Afrojack, DJ Snake, Nicky Romero, Steve Angello, Illenium, Fedde Le Grand, NGHTMRE + Slander and more –further solidifying its status as the world’s premier music festival.
