For large-scale events, Jed Mok, general manager, creative strategy and planning at Pico Singapore, says that the key to energising is participation. “Getting people on their feet and actively involved is the ultimate energiser,” he says. “Lighting, music and even pyrotechnics can set the mood, while participation can be heightened through fun group moments like singing or dancing.”
However you do it, adds Mok, make sure you hit the energy peak at exactly the right moment – too soon and delegates will lose interest before they get through the door; but leave it too late, and you’ve wasted a golden opportunity.
